Privacy Policy

Introduction

At Electric Twin Ltd, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our website visitors and service users. We have appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsible for overseeing questions or concerns related to this privacy notice. If you have any queries or wish to exercise your legal rights, please contact the DPO using the details in the Contact Information section below.

This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

How We Collect Your Data

We collect data in the following ways:

Data you provide to us: Information you input when you complete a form, request a demo, or correspond with us via our website.

Data we collect automatically: When you navigate our website, we may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and usage patterns through cookies and similar technologies.

Data collected through visitor identification technology: We use third-party services that may match your IP address and other technical data against business databases to identify the company or organisation you are visiting from. This helps us understand which organisations are interested in our services and enables us to contact prospective business customers.

Types of Data Collected

Personal Identification Information: Name, email address, telephone number, etc.

Financial Data: Payment and billing information, processed through secure gateways.

Technical Data: IP addresses, browser types, operating system details, and other technology on the devices you use to access the website.

Professional Data: Company name, job title, and business contact details that may be inferred or matched through visitor identification technology.

Use of Data

Your data is used to:

  • Provide and improve our services.

  • Process transactions.

  • Communicate with you, including customer support and updates about our services.

  • Enhance website functionality and user experience.

  • Comply with legal requirements.

  • Identify and contact prospective business customers who may benefit from our services.

Sharing Your Data

We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share your data with:

  • Service providers who assist us with our business operations.

  • Legal authorities when required by law.

  • Lead identification and sales engagement providers who process visitor data to help us identify prospective business customers.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following tools on our website. Each respects our cookie banner for European (EEA and UK) visitors, meaning we obtain consent before tracking. Visitors outside these regions are tracked by default with this notice, consistent with local law.

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect visitor and traffic statistics (device, browser, and behaviour data). This runs through our own subdomain, so the data flows via infrastructure we control. Used to understand and improve site performance.

Google Ads: Collects data to measure which ad clicks result in demo requests (ad conversion measurement).

LinkedIn Insight Tag: Collects technical data such as your IP address, browser and device information, page URL, and timestamp. Used to measure the performance of our LinkedIn advertising campaigns, build audiences for retargeting, and analyse website traffic from LinkedIn members. LinkedIn may also use this data for its own purposes, including ad personalisation. See linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

HubSpot: Powers our forms and connects a form submission to our CRM. Collects visit statistics and recognises returning visitors.

Microsoft Clarity: Captures anonymous replays of how visitors move through pages, used to improve the site.

Visitor Identification (RB2B): We use a script provided by RB2B that collects technical data such as your IP address and browser information to identify US-based professional visitors by matching visits against publicly available LinkedIn profile data. This applies only to US visitors and respects our cookie banner. This processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in identifying and engaging with prospective business customers (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). You may object to this processing at any time by contacting us using the details below. See rb2b.com/privacy.

Visitor Recognition (Lemlist): We use Lemlist to recognise visitors who arrive from our outreach emails. When someone we have contacted visits the site, Lemlist matches the visit to that outreach so our sales team can follow up in context. It collects technical data such as your IP address and browser information. This processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in engaging with prospective business customers (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR), and respects our cookie banner for European (EEA and UK) visitors. You may object to this processing at any time by contacting us using the details below.

Campaign attribution (et_attribution): Our own cookie that remembers which campaign brought you to the site, so the demo form can attribute your enquiry correctly. Expires after 3 months.

Cookie Banner and Your Choices

European visitors (EEA and UK) see a consent banner and are only tracked after giving consent. Visitors elsewhere are tracked by default with notice via this policy. You can change your cookie choices at any time through the cookie settings, accessible from our website footer.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. You can exercise this right via the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our website footer, which opens our cookie settings so your choice takes effect.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Retention periods for individual cookies correspond to the expiry dates set for each (available on request or in our cookie settings).

Your Rights

Under data protection laws, you have rights including:

  • Access: Request copies of your personal data.

  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.

  • Erasure: Request erasure of your personal data under certain conditions.

  • Restrict Processing: Request the restriction of processing.

  • Object to Processing: Object to the processing of your personal data.

  • Data Portability: Request the transfer of your personal data.

Security

We are committed to ensuring your information is secure. We have implemented measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorised way.
